THE Spring Games 2021
Umpire Registration
Please complete the form below to register to participate as an official during THE Spring Games in Central Florida
THE Spring Games is the World's largest collegiate softball event. We have hosted over 1,600 games per year since 2016 and had 508 colleges (from all Divisions) registered in 2020. THE Spring Games provides umpires the opportunity to prepare for conference season, allowing up to three (3) games per day over 40 days of contests. Umpires participating in THE Spring Games are expected to perform their duties with professionalism and to strive to improve each season. Familiarity with the Division Rules and physical condition sufficient to execute the responsibilities of a game official are minimum standards. In order to officiate NCAA games, umpires must have completed the NCAA Softball Rules & Mechanics Test in the last two (2) years.
Umpires will be evaluated (as much as possible) prior to acceptance as an official and during the event by the UICs, fellow umpires, and coaches. The objective of THE Spring Games umpire program is to encourage more umpires to join the ranks of collegiate softball and to provide a platform for them to gain valuable experience. We also work with PFX Athletics (a non-profit based out of Clermont, Florida) to provide training for umpires by officials at the highest levels of collegiate softball.
